Welcome
The water hygiene card came into action in January 2006.
This was to replace the water authority's specific water hygiene schemes.
This now means that one card is recognised by all water companies the BLUE WATER HYGIENE CARD.
This is now used across England,Whales,Scotland and Northern Island.
If you are seeking a career in the water industry or you currently work in the industry.
You will need the water hygiene card weather it's from new or renew.
If you are working in areas such as pumping stations, reservoirs, water mains repairs, water services, treatment works, meter installations or any other area to do with water.
All employees require a water hygiene card. This training is provided to both subcontractors and company employees who are working on these restricted operations.
There is a health screening questionnaire carried out to make sure the operatives who hold these blue hygiene cards are not carriers of any waterborne diseases.
It is your responsibility and duty to protect public health.
The blue hygiene card expires after three years from the date of training course once passed. The training is there for done every three years.
